What is free during Beta?
Competition hosting is free during Beta. The current hosting limits are 5 events per UTC month, 64 fencers per event, 2 active events at once, and a 30-day hosting window. Bout scoring, team relays, and results sharing are included, and referees and fencers participate through the host without a subscription.
Can I still use it just to score a bout?
Yes. You can score individual bouts and team relays without setting up a competition.
Does it replace a scoring box?
No. You enter scores manually. FencingScores helps you record and manage bouts; it does not detect touches.
Does it work offline?
Individual bout scoring can be used offline. Joining competitions and sharing competition updates require an internet connection.
Do I need an account?
An organizer account is required to create a competition. Joining requirements depend on the role and access provided by the organizer.
Is there an Android app?
The FencingScores app is available on iPhone.
